RICE BRAN OIL

Rice Bran Carrier Oil works to improve circulation and even out skin tone by brightening the complexion, thus it is valuable for minimizing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around the eye area. Due to the antioxidants present in bran oil, it is widely used in skin care products like facial oils, massage oils, and moisturizers to prevent sun damage through ultraviolet rays and reduce wrinkles and other signs of ageing. It is readily absorbed into the skin and is a gentle oil that helps hydrate dry and flaky skin.

It is an active ingredient in hair products where it adds sheen and lustre to the hair shaft, but being a lightweight oil, it doesn’t weigh down the hair. It is also known to improve dandruff.  Due to the high levels of free fatty acids present in the oil, it is often used as soap stock and is converted into rice bran wax which is used in cosmetics such as lipsticks, lip balms and sunscreens.
